The Brady Arts District — increasingly known simply as the Tulsa Arts District — is where the city's creative community gathers, works, and shows up. The galleries that line the streets host rotating exhibitions and anchor First Friday Art Crawl, a monthly ritual that floods the district with art lovers, wine cups, and conversation. Living Arts of Tulsa pushes boundaries with experimental performance and contemporary exhibitions that challenge as much as they inspire.

But this isn't a district that exists only for gallery hours. Guthrie Green functions as the neighborhood's front yard — a public park that hosts free concerts, yoga sessions, and food truck rallies through the warmer months. Prairie Brewpub pours house-brewed ales in an industrial-warm taproom. Lone Wolf Banh Mi serves some of the best sandwiches in town from a tight, focused kitchen. The energy here runs on creativity and community, and the result is a neighborhood that feels alive at any hour.

Neighborhood Rhythms

Mornings in the Brady are quiet — coffee shops fill slowly, artists drift into studios, and the galleries are still dark. By afternoon, the pace picks up as restaurants open and the lunch crowd rolls in. The real transformation happens at night. Live music at nearby Cain's Ballroom sets the tone for the whole district, while cocktail bars and Guthrie Green events pull people outdoors. First Fridays are the neighborhood's signature — galleries open their doors, drinks flow, and the entire district becomes one connected experience.

Getting Here & Getting Around

The Brady Arts District sits just north of downtown Tulsa, bordered by the IDL (Inner Dispersal Loop) to the south and the railroad tracks to the north. It's walkable from the downtown core and connects naturally to the Greenwood District to the northeast. Street parking is available, and the flat grid layout makes it easy to cover on foot — which is exactly how it's meant to be explored.
