Cain's Ballroom is hallowed ground for music lovers. "The Carnegie Hall of Western Swing" has been hosting live music since 1924, and the spring-loaded maple dance floor, original stage, and intimate 1,800-person capacity make it one of the best live-music rooms in America.
Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys made Cain's famous, but the venue has evolved with the times — the Sex Pistols played here, and today's calendar features everything from indie rock to hip-hop to Americana. The sound is superb, the sightlines are honest, and the history seeps from the walls.
