The room leans into rattan, low light, and rum-forward drinks — the kind of place where ordering something with a flaming garnish feels appropriate rather than gimmicky. In a downtown stretch where you can bounce between brewery taprooms and standard cocktail bars, this one picks a lane and stays in it.

The menu is tiki-classic territory: rum-heavy builds, tropical fruit, elaborate garnishes, the occasional drink served in a themed mug. Expect the noise level to climb as the night goes on, and expect tight seating once the after-dinner crowd rolls in from nearby Arts District restaurants.

It works best as a second or third stop — somewhere you land after dinner at Laffa or a show at Cain's, not where you start a quiet evening. Come in expecting a little theater with your cocktail and you'll get exactly what the place is selling. Come in looking for a whiskey-and-a-stool experience and you'll be confused by the whole scene. Worth noting: it can get a wait on weekends, and the room is small enough that walking in with a group of six is going to be awkward. Two to four people is the sweet spot.
