Big Dipper Creamery

Big Dipper Creamery is the small-batch ice cream operation working out of a permanent stall at Mother Road Market, Tulsa's food hall on 11th Street just off Route 66. The ice cream is made with Oklahoma dairy, and the flavor board cycles weekly — expect rotations like brown butter pecan, honey lavender, Vietnamese coffee, and strawberry basil sitting alongside more familiar picks.

The texture is what separates it from grocery-freezer pints: dense, slow-melting, and creamy in the way that only comes out of small batches. Scoops run generous. Because the menu shifts, no two visits look quite the same, which makes it worth checking the case before you commit — the flavor you loved last month may or may not be there today.

As a stop, it fits neatly into how Mother Road Market actually gets used. You come in for lunch or dinner from one of the other vendors, wander through, and end at Big Dipper. It's also a reasonable destination on its own if you're already in the Pearl District or heading down 11th, and it plays well as a post-dinner detour after eating elsewhere on Route 66.
