TU Allen Chapman Activity Center

The Allen Chapman Activity Center — ACAC to anyone who's spent time on the University of Tulsa campus — is one of TU's central gathering buildings, tucked into the main campus around 5th and Harvard. It's a short walk from the Kendall-Whittier neighborhood just to the north, but the building itself sits firmly inside the TU campus footprint, not the neighborhood proper.

The ACAC functions as a hub for student life: meeting rooms for clubs and student organizations, event spaces that host everything from orientation activities to guest programming, and dining options that keep the between-class crowd fed. Some events spill outward into the broader Tulsa community, particularly lectures and speaker programs that TU opens up beyond the student body.

If you live in midtown and haven't thought of TU's campus as part of your city, the ACAC is a reasonable reason to reconsider. The campus is walkable, the architecture around it is worth a slow look, and the programming calendar occasionally surfaces speakers and events you won't stumble across at the usual downtown venues. It's less a destination in itself than a doorway into what TU offers the wider city — which is more than most non-students realize.
