Tulsa State Fair

The Tulsa State Fair is eleven days of midway rides, livestock shows, fried everything, and the kind of sprawling Americana that makes you remember what a state fair is supposed to feel like. The Expo Square fairgrounds come alive with carnival lights, live entertainment, and competition halls where Oklahomans showcase everything from prize cattle to prize-winning pies.

It's loud, crowded, sugary, and completely wonderful. This is the one event where the whole city shows up, regardless of neighborhood or demographic.
