Midtown Garage Crawl
This is one of those events that only really makes sense in a city like Tulsa, where car culture runs deep and people actually use their garages for something other than storing holiday decorations. For one Sunday afternoon, local enthusiasts open up their private garages and workshops across Midtown so you can wander through and see what they've been building. The range is what makes it worth your time — you might step into a tidy three-car bay with matching-numbers muscle cars under cotton dust covers, then walk three blocks and find a working hot rod shop with a small-block Chevy in pieces on the bench.
It's a home tour for gearheads, but you don't need to know a carburetor from a camshaft to enjoy it. The owners are there, they want to talk, and they're generally happy to explain what you're looking at. If you've lived in Midtown for any length of time, you've probably driven past these garages a hundred times without knowing what was inside. This is the day you get to look. Bring kids if you have them — most hosts get a kick out of showing a curious eight-year-old around a '69 Camaro.
Details & Logistics
